The University of Birmingham Medical School Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Neonatology and Gynaecology Society (UBMS PONGSoc) was set up by Medical Students who were passionate about promoting Paediatrics/ Neonates and O&G to healthcare students at the University of Birmingham. One of the founding members of PONGSoc has just completed Paediatric training in the West Midlands and is now working as a Consultant in the region!

They are an absolutely thriving society with a very active and organised Committee; they hold regular events such as the National Paediatrics and O&G Conference (Jan 2020), and the Fundamentals of Paediatrics online lecture series (July 2020).

A number of West Midlands Paediatric Consultants and trainees have been involved with these events; they are an excellent opportunity to help share our love of Paediatrics and enthuse the next generation of Paediatricians!

If you have a passion for medical education and would be interested in potentially getting involved with future events, please contact us.
