Open to all trainees and consultant colleagues who want to understand more about OOP within the Paediatric Training Programme

For Trainees, whether at the start of your Paediatric Training journey and keen to find out your options ahead of the game or already head-long into planning your time out of programme, we hope the event will have something for you

For Consultant colleagues wanting to gain better insight into the various OOP opportunities to be able to guide and support trainees in planning their training journey, whether nurturing well-being or laying down a career path.
- The Event will comprise:

Formal talks from Dr Ellen Knox (HEE Out of Programme Lead) and Ratna Kumar (HEWM Paediatrics TPD for GRID/SPIN/OOP) to demystify the different OOP opportunities and how these fit into Paediatric Training within the West Midlands

A series of talks from Paediatric Trainees sharing their own OOP experiences across the variour OOP range (OOPE/T/R/C/P)

Lots of opportunity for general Q&A.

This recording below is from the information evening about the GRID application process, outlining the application timeline and helping trainees to understand the longlisting and shortlisting process with top tips on how to tip-top their scores. The presentation may be useful for all trainees considering sub-specialty training, even if not eligible to apply in the current round.
Following the presentation there was general Q&A and sub-specialty breakout rooms for sub-specialty specific application guidance and networking but these were not recorded.
