  • New Street Station: 2 min walk. Exit the North exit ‘Stephenson Street’ or ‘New Street entrance’ and head up Lower Temple street past Caffé Nero. Turn right at Starbucks and continue down New Street (Tesco on your left). Cannon Street is the second street on the left, thestudio is half way along Cannon Street on the right hand side.

  • Snow Hill Station: 5 min walk. Exit the car park down the entrance ramp and turn left onto Livery Street. Continue to Colmore Row. At Colmore Row walk through the Cathedral park to Temple Row.  With the CBRE building in front of you take Cherry Street to the left of the building. Just after McDonalds and Greggs turn right onto Cannon Street. You will find thestudio half way down the street on the left.

  • Moor Street Station: 12 min walk. Walk out of the main entrance of Moor Street Station. You will see the distinctive, curved silver façade of the Bullring shopping centre directly ahead of you. Use the pedestrian crossing directly outside the station to cross Moor Street Queensway toward the Bullring. Walk up the steps or the ramp alongside the Bullring building, heading uphill towards High Street. Once you reach the top at High Street (near the large Rotunda building), turn right. Walk past the storefronts keeping the Bullring on your left. Almost immediately, turn left onto New Street (the main pedestrianised shopping street). Walk straight down New Street for about 2 minutes. Look out for the McDonald's and Greggs on your right-hand side. The pedestrianised alleyway right between/next to them is Cannon Street. Turn right here.

  • Birmingham Snow Hill Station Car Park, postcode B3 2BJ. 5 minute walk from thestudio.

  • Birmingham New Street Station Car Park, postcode B2 4ND. 5 minute walk from thestudio.

  • Both car parks are around a Q-Park in the Mailbox. 8 minute walk from thestudio. Thestudio offer 15% off here when you pre-book your parking with the code THESTUDIO15 through their website www.q-park.co.uk. Please note: you must pre-book to receive the discount. No discount is available without a pre-booking.

Venue space: 

We are on the 3rd floor of the building, in the Innovate Room (https://thestudio.co.uk/venues/birmingham/meeting-rooms/). 

We have the two adjoining rooms also which will be used for the buffet and a break out room. The break out room has specific supporters to the conference and a table to relax at (not within the main conference room). 

There are quiet areas on all floors on the venue to relax or take a break or breast feed/ pump. 

There are toilets right outside the venue room. 

There are protected spaces for prayer in the building.

 

Venue technology:

We will notify all oral presenters regarding the technology set up for the day. 

Posters will be digitalised on one screen (rotating) but also displayed on physical poster boards with velcro/ pins.

 

Catering: 

  • Throughout the day there will be a morning coffee break with coffee/ tea/ soft drinks and snacks (10:25-10:45), lunch meal (13:30-14:15) and afternoon coffee break with coffee/ tea/ soft drinks and snacks (15:45-16:05). 

  • The venue caters for all dietary requirements (these should have been submitted with the Accent ticket application)

  • Caters to be fully inclusive offering everyday a vegan, dairy free and gluten free menu option

  • Also offers faith-based menu choices 

 

Social: 

After the conference we are having a social at ‘Society’, Birmingham (5 min walk from conference venue: One, Colmore Square, Birmingham B4 6AA. https://www.societybirmingham.com/. We would be delighted if you could join us for more food, drink and chats! We have booked a private area and this bar has cask ales + beers/ coffee/ soft drinks and separate food vendors with lots of different options and easy ordering via QR code or at each counter.
