Role as Quality Assurance TPD:
My TPD role deals with quality assurance of the training programme and governance relating to the West Midlands School of Paediatrics. It involves responding to raised concerns, reviewing national survey results, gaining feedback on how training units function, and representing the School of Paediatrics in review panels. What I enjoy most is working closely with a variety of people, such as the Head of School and other TPDs, NHS WT&E Quality Manager, TPD for Assessments, West Midlands Paediatrics Trainee Committee, College Tutors, Directorates of Medical Education at Trusts, and PGDiTs to ensure that the West Midlands School of Paediatrics is a great place to train with fantastic opportunities.

I am available for any PGDiT to approach me directly or via the Trainee Committee to discuss any issues or concerns regarding any aspects of their training. I will try my best to support with this or advise on the next best course of action, which often involves escalating issues in the most appropriate forum.
