Simulation to Help in Neonatal Emergencies (SHINE)
SHINE is a 1 day simulation course for West Midlands paediatric trainees, held at Birmingham Women's Hospital. It has been designed to give trainees the opportunity to develop their skills in managing common neonatal emergencies in a safe and supportive learning environment.
Whether you are about to rotate to your first neonatal registrar post, need a refresher or just need more neonatal experience, then this course is for you!
Feedback from trainees attending this course has been really positive, describing it as "excellent" with "really realistic scenarios".
The next SHINE course will run on Monday 14th December.
If you are interested in attending, please contact the Neonatal Simulation Fellow, with the following information: name, grade and previous neonatal experience. Please also include information about why you are keen to attend this course (e.g. returning to work or stepping up to ST3+/ST4), as it is extremely popular and this will help the organisers to prioritise attendees!
Places are limited and the course is very popular, so please email early to avoid disappointment!
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the Neonatal Simulation Fellow.
