Celebrating Our 2nd Annual Conference!

On January 19th, trainees in the region got together for our 2nd Annual West Midlands Paediatrics Trainee Conference!

The event was a massive success, with some brilliant talks and panels. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, including our speakers and our training committee.

This year’s conference was held at the Novotel Birmingham, and we hosted almost one hundred delegates!

Over 40 members of our community presented their posters and 4 wonderful resident doctors gave brilliant oral presentations on their work.

Congratulations to Amina Khatoon for winning the Best Poster prize for her work:

"The AFTAs (Awards For Token Achievements) - A Fun, Inclusive Wellbeing Awards Project for Doctors with Measurable Impact and Inaugurated Across Two Trusts!"

And congratulations to Hayley Djemai for winning Best Oral Presentation for her work:

“Low-Cost Simulation, High-Value Learning: How A Child’s 3D Printer Accidentally Revolutionised Medical Education”
